Petra announces that on 18 October 2006, 208,843 new ordinary shares were issued
pursuant to the exercise of options at an exercise price of 85 pence per share
by Williams de Broe.



The shares will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares and dealings are
expected to commence in the new ordinary shares on AIM and ASX on 24 October
2006.
