SCREEN PLC (the 'Company')              


Screen plc announces that yesterday it agreed to issue 31,048,850 ordinary
shares of 0.1p each in the Company at a price of 13p each, conditional upon
the admission of the shares to trading on AIM.  Application will be made for
the admission of these shares to trading on AIM.

The placing raises approximately £4 million, before expenses, which will be
used to continue the development of the Company's activities.
