Screen PLC ('the Company') - Extension of business partnership with RAM Mobile
Data

The Company has written to its shareholders today informing them of a new
commercial development in respect of its subsidiary, Petards Datax.  The
following is an extract from the letter being sent to shareholders today:

'Petards Datax and RAM Mobile Data today announce the extension of their
successful Business Partnership into the field service market.  Petards Datax
and RAM have worked together in the Emergency Services sector for over 5
years, during which time RAM solutions and Petards Datax touch screen
terminals have been implemented in over 17 Police Forces across England and
Wales.  RAM holds sole provider status for mobile data bearer services to
Police and Fire Services in England and Wales, under a Home Office Framework
Arrangement.

Petards Datax and RAM will collaborate closely on the development of new
terminals for the field service market, in addition to introducing existing
terminals to RAM's field service prospects.'
