Screen PLC 14 February 2002 For immediate release 14 February 2002 Screen plc ('Screen' or 'the Company') Results of EGM, Appointment of Nominated Adviser, Board changes and Statement re current trading The Board of Screen is pleased to announce that all of the resolutions proposed at an EGM of the Company, held today, in order to allow the Second Placing (as defined in the circular to shareholders dated 16 January 2002) to be completed, were duly passed. The Board expects to be able to announce the completion of the Second Placing in the near future. The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Collins Stewart as its Nominated adviser and joint broker which the Board believes will provide the Company with greater exposure to potential institutional investors and thereby strengthen its shareholder base. In addition, following the appointment of Major-General Tim Sulivan as a Non-Executive Director, which was announced on 7 February 2002, the Board announces that Ian Taylor MBE MP has been appointed Deputy Chairman with effect from today. He has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since January 2000. Further, Charles Hughes stands down as non-executive director and has resigned from the Board with immediate effect although he will continue to make his services available to Screen on a consultancy basis. The Board thanks him for his valuable contribution to the Company. As regards current trading, we are pleased to announce that our order book is currently in excess of £8 million and the pipeline of potential new business is strong.
