Personal Group Holdings PLC announces that it was informed yesterday that Mr
Robert Pease, Director, purchased 18,800 shares in the Company at a price of
79 pence per share on 30 April 2001.  Mr Pease is now interested in 63,620
shares in the Company, representing approximately 0.2 per cent. of the issued
share capital.
