PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES



On 22 June 2005 Personal Assets Trust plc bought 17,100 of its own Ordinary
Shares of £12.50 to be held in treasury at a price of £231.95 each.  There are
667,903 shares in issue and 17,100 shares held in treasury following this
transaction.
