Personal Assets Trust plc - Voting Rights and Capital

The announcement is made in accordance with DTR5.6.

During the month of January 2007 Personal Assets Trust plc bought a number of
its own shares to be held in Treasury, all transactions duly notified in
accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

As at 31 January 2007 Peronsal Assets Trust plc's issued share capital consists
of 750,911 ordinary shares, of which 17,031 are held in Treasury.  Therefore,
the total number of shares with voting rights in Personal Assets Trust plc is
733,880.

The above figure (733,880) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Personal Assets Trust plc
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
