Persimmon Plc ('the Company' )- Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 12 May 2008 it transferred 288 Ordinary Shares to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme 1998 to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of £5.25.

Following this transfer the Company holds 2,690,054 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 299,901,377 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
