Persimmon plc ('the Company')

The Company has been advised that earlier today Mr Brian Taylor, a
non-executive Director of the Company, sold 40,000 ordinary shares in the
Company at a price of 244p per share.  As a result of this disposal, Mr Taylor
is interested in 95,620 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.05 per
cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
