DIRECTORS' INTERESTS IN SHARES

Directors' Shareholdings

Persimmon plc ('the Company') was informed on 1 December 2006 that on that day
the undernoted directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities
exercised share options granted to them under the Company's SAYE scheme. Details
are set out below:

Following these transactions Mr Thornton has an interest in 39,404 shares of the
Company, representing 0.01% of the issued share capital and Mr & Mrs White have
an interest in 1,949,644 shares of the Company, representing 0.65% of the issued
share capital.

As a result of these transactions, Mr D Thornton holds options over 16,880
ordinary shares and Mr J White holds options over 525,640 ordinary shares
granted under the Company's various share schemes.
