                 Persimmon plc - Directors' Share Transactions

Persimmon plc (the 'Company') announces that on 26 March 2008 it was informed
that John White, the Chairman transferred 698,104 shares in the Company to his
wife, Mrs Rosalind White. It was also informed that on the same day Mike Farley,
Chief Executive transferred 285,079 shares in the Company to his wife, Mrs Janet
Farley.

The Company also announces that on 25 March 2008 Michael Killoran, Finance
Director informed the Company that on 20 March 2008 his partner Ms Jacqueline
Flanigan sold 1,018 shares at an average price of £6.92 per share and purchased
1,018 shares into an ISA at an average price of £6.921/2 per share.

As a result of these transactions the holdings of these directors remain
unchanged.  Mr White and his wife remain interested in 2,060,227 shares or 0.7%
of the issued share capital of the Company; Mr Farley and his wife remain
interested in 968,535 shares or 0.3% of the issued share capital of the Company
and Mr Killoran and his partner remain interested in 490,981 shares or 0.2% of
the issued share capital of the Company (all percentages exclude Treasury
Shares).

The issued share capital of the Company on 26 March 2008 was 299,897,313
ordinary shares, excluding Treasury Shares.
