Persimmon plc ('the Company') announces that on 3 December 2007 the undernoted
directors exercised share options granted to them under the Company's SAYE
scheme.  Details are set out below:

As a result of these transactions, Mr D Bryant holds options over 117,462

The issued share capital of the Company on 10 December 2007 is 300,247,313
ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding 2,344,118 ordinary shares held in
treasury).
