Pennon Group Plc has today received notification (by letter dated 4 October
2001) that AEGON UK plc Group has increased its interest and now holds
7,156,293 Ordinary shares of £1 each in Pennon Group Plc, representing 5.22%
of the issued share capital of the Company.
