FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DIRECTOR RETIREMENT

Pennon Group announces today that Bob Baty, Chief Executive of South West Water,
is due to retire upon reaching his normal retirement age later this year after
45 years service in the industry and will be standing down as an Executive
Director of the Pennon Group Board.

Bob will remain in post until his successor is appointed.  A full search process
will now commence and a further announcement will be made in due course.
