Product Launch

COUNTYWeb.com PLC 5 June 2001 COUNTYWeb Product launch 'foneup' and 'human touch' COUNTYWeb announces the launch of 'foneup', a premium-rate telephone business directory primarily for people on the move, without a WAP phone or connection to the internet, who wish to utilise the extensive COUNTYWeb business database. With the recent integration of the 24 hour telephone service of Ansaback which offers out of hours and overflow call centre services, COUNTYWeb can now provide the 24 hour 365 day cover to launch the 'foneup' service. The timing of the launch is designed to coincide with the Internet World Show on the 5th June at Earls Court. Callers can enquire by business name or type and will have access to the Company's directory of 2.45 million business records and 2000 business categories. It is anticipated this will add further value to the enhanced entries in the directory which get higher prominence in the listings and will benefit from more frequent operator referrals. A revenue sharing contract has been entered into between COUNTYWeb and Premier Telecom London Ltd who provide the premium rate one-to-one telephone lines and also distinctive telephone number. COUNTYWeb also announces the launch of 'human touch', developed in house, which can give client websites a human interface. According to a recent survey. 57% of all web transactions are never completed, and 53% of customers dealing on the web still opt for a live phone call. 'human touch' from COUNTYWeb uses its trained operators who are experienced in dealing with website queries, and after a short training period specific to a new business, human touch can provide a 24/7 online customer support service. The service is aimed at reducing the risk of losing customers who face problems with navigation or other technical difficulties, or who simply want to ask a question before buying. This launch of this extra service follows the integration of the Ansaback staff who provide the 24 hour, 365 day cover.
