                          PARITY GROUP PLC ('PARITY')

Parity notes the recent press speculation and confirms that it is considering an
equity issue to strengthen its balance sheet.

As previously announced, Parity intends to announce its interim results for the
six-month period ended 30 June 2003 on 25 September 2003 and will provide a
further update at that time.
