HOLDING IN COMPANY

The Company received notification of 6 December 2006, from Merrill Lynch & Co.,
Inc ('Merrill Lynch'), that following a change in circumstances affecting
Merrill Lynch's interest under the Companies Act 1985 ss 198-202 (as amended) as
at 30 November 2006 the interests of BlackRock Inc. (an asset management company
in which Merrill Lynch owns 49.8% of the common stock) comprised 3,775,843
ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ('Shares'),
representing approximately 9.99% of the Company's issued ordinary shares.


Merrill Lynch's aggregate interest (inclusive of the above interest) comprised
3,784,837 Shares at that date, representing approximately 10.01% of the
Company's issued ordinary shares.
