Oxford Technology 2 VCT has invested £49,800 in Oxford Sensor Technology Ltd
representing about 3% of the equity. The investment is part of a larger round
with other investors including Oxford Technology VCT.

Oxford Sensor Technology has developed a range of intelligent sensors which
transmit laser light and analyse the returning signal to give useful information
to robots and other machines. The sensors are intended particularly for guiding
robots on car production lines, for welding, for inserting windscreens and for
positioning doors, for example. Since the original investment, OST has obtained
pilot orders from major manufacturers
including Ford and GM, as well as from the robot manufacturers Fanuc, Kuka and
ABB. OST sensors are now being used in car plants in Belgium, Portugal, US and
the UK. The purpose of the investment is to provide further working capital.
