Yotta DCL Releases Horizons - New SaaS Software Offering

SaaS web-based tool enables informed, simpler decision-making for highways clients

OMG plc, (LSE: OMG) ("OMG" or the "Group"), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, is pleased to announce that its Yotta division, the leading highways surveyor, has today unveiled the launch of its new SaaS product platform: Horizons.  This new platform will enable a Local Authority to visualise, manage and optimise the highway survey data it collects and subsequently check on the status of every road under its management through one interface.

Yotta's services enable Local Authorities to be more cost effective in their long term highway maintenance plans, thereby reducing the authority's overall operational costs whilst at the same time enhancing the quality, speed and accuracy with which repairs can be executed. The new Horizons platform will now allow those users to manage multiple sets of data, make cost predictions, plan and model various road maintenance scenarios, build schemes and ultimately make better, more informed decisions.

Utilising Google Maps for its user interface, Horizons offers users an immediately familiar and simple to use functionality.  It enables easy navigation and pulls data and reports together quickly and easily. Currently, network data might be held in many disparate locations and forms but, when using Horizons, data can be imported from any source so that decisions based upon all relevant and available information can be made.

Commenting on the launch of Horizons, Nick Bolton, OMG Chief Executive Officer said:

"We are delighted to launch this new offering.  We believe it provides a new, improved way for Local Authorities to manage their roads at a time when cost-efficiency is a major concern, but road repairs and reviews still need to take place.  Potholes and road quality in general are 'hot' news topics right now and Horizons will help councils to plan maintenance schemes that can fix these issues faster, more effectively and in those areas where action needs to be taken first."
