Yotta DCL Contracts

OMG PLC 12 March 2008 12 March 2008 OMG plc ('OMG' or 'the Group') Yotta DCL wins further contracts with UK Highways Agency OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, is pleased to announce that its 3D mapping division, Yotta DCL, has signed two further contracts with leading suppliers to the UK Highways Agency. These contracts not only broaden the Company's reach in this important market, but also extend and endorse the Company's service offering in the space. The integrated highway services company A-one has awarded a contract valued at £120,000 to Yotta DCL for a 350km network length survey of the Highways Agency Area 14. The survey will use Yotta DCL's groundbreaking Nano technology with high-resolution 360-degree photography for precision mapping of the highway inventory in Area 14 which covers Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Durham. The survey will collate details of highway assets in that Area including signs, road markings, lampposts and safety barriers. Yotta DCL will provide A-one with a pixel-by-pixel accurate picture of existing inventory to compare with data held on the Highways Agency's computer system. The additional benefits for A-one of Yotta DCL's unique digital asset collection survey are speed, safety, lack of disruption to road users and lower cost. This survey award follows the contract won by Yotta DCL in December 2007 to supply A-one's sister company, A-one+, with a similar survey of Highways Agency Area 10. As part of this engagement, Yotta DCL staff and technology are already surveying over 530km of road network in England's North West. Today, OMG is pleased to announce that A-one+ has elected to take a new, further service from Yotta DCL valued at £170,000 to process the video data captured during the course of that Area 10 survey. Nick Bolton, Chief Executive Officer of OMG plc, commented: 'I am very pleased to announce news of these two awards in a strategically important area for our business. The combined technology of Yotta DCL is ideally suited to this type of work. Today's announcement is a further endorsement of our capability which encompasses not only the capture of valuable data, but also the processing and understanding of that data: something which we believe can be of great value to our clients in this and other key markets.'
