OMG Springboard secures US contract with GE Global Research



OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, is pleased to announce that OMG Springboard, the Group's recently launched professional services arm has secured a contract with GE Global Research in the United States.


GE Global Research ('GE'), one of the world's most diversified industrial research labs which provides innovative technology to all of GE's businesses, has engaged OMG Springboard on a project to provide a range of vision science services. This project is valued at $120,000 and will span a period of 5 months.  


OMG Springboard was established in April 2008 to provide vision science services to organisations outside OMG's current markets. OMG Springboard leverages the experience and knowledge of technologists from across all parts of the OMG Group, providing clients with access to the whole OMG intellectual property base.


Commenting on the contract Nick Bolton, Chief Executive Officer of OMG plc, said:
