Board Appointment

 

-Appointment of New Non-Executive Director-

 

OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian C Carey as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. With this appointment, the OMG Board's non-executive representation is expanded from 2 to 3.

 

Adrian C Carey, aged 54, has more than 25 years of boardroom experience, primarily in the technology, legal and educational service sectors. He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Exchange Group, a private equity backed adult skills training provider, and Non-Executive Director of Syrris Ltd., a rapidly growing private business that is a world leader in microfluidics, flow chemistry, micro-reactor and automation technology.

 

Prior to this, Adrian was Executive Chairman (September 2007 - February 2009) then Non-Executive Director (February 2009 - July 2010) of Melorio plc, an AIM listed vocational training provider and market leader in the ICT, construction and logistics sectors, which was bought by Pearson in June 2010. He was also Non-Executive Director (February 2007 - July 2008) of Impellam Group plc, the AIM listed, leading supplier of staffing solutions in the UK and USA, which was formed from a merger of The Corporate Services Group plc and Carlisle plc in May 2008.

 

During his earlier career, Adrian was CEO for three companies over a 17 year period, prior to which he was a finance director, venture capitalist and Chartered Accountant. 

 

There is no further information required to be disclosed under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
