OMG PLC 16 February 2007 16 February 2007 OMG plc AGM Statement OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), ('OMG' or 'the Group') the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. At the meeting Anthony Simonds-Gooding, Chairman, will make the following statement: 'The past year has been a period of both exciting growth and significant change for the Group, as outlined in our last set of results. 'The Group is now witnessing the first fruits of its shift in strategy - whilst continuing to strengthen our core business, our aim has been to establish new markets where we can capitalise on our existing technology base to achieve consistent and exciting long term growth. 'To this end, we have established new business lines firstly in imaging technology for the burgeoning Unmanned Aerial Systems market. Our appeal in this market continues to grow as we demonstrate our unique technological capabilities and engage in an increasing number of sales campaigns in both the US and UK markets. 'Secondly, during the past 12 months we have created a new business in street-level imaging, through our Geospatial Vision subsidiary, undertaking asset surveys for highways operators and acquiring a mass of 3D mapping information. This business goes from strength to strength reflected in the two contracts previously announced in this financial year. 'Trading in the rest of the business remains in line with expectations. From a shareholder's perspective, all this means OMG offers an intriguing spread of attributes, ranging from proven performance to bold new entrepreneurial ventures and growth opportunities.' -ends- OMG plc 01865 261800 Nick Bolton, Chief Executive Peter Wharton, Finance Director Financial Dynamics 020 7831 3113 Juliet Clarke / Hannah Sloane About OMG OMG plc (Oxford Metrics Group.
