OMG PLC 27 February 2008 27 February 2008 OMG plc AGM statement OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), ('OMG' or 'the Group') the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, will hold its Annual General Meeting today. At the meeting Anthony Simonds-Gooding, Chairman, will make the following statement: 'The Board is pleased to announce that the Group's trading in the current financial year is performing in line with expectations, with all parts of the business progressing well. 'Yotta DCL, the division which provides geospatial services and software for highway asset management, mapping and street level imaging, is seeing asset collection gaining momentum as the year progresses. The attractiveness of our enhanced 3D offer is also evident from repeat orders we are now seeing from customers who have tried and rated our technology. Since the beginning of the period, the Yotta DCL team have signed several new deals, and are active in a number of trials. '2d3 AIG, the defence offering, is also developing well and recently won a major extension of one of its research contracts with UK Ministry of Defence. The project covers the development of new methods for the automatic processing of moving images from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This forms part of a larger MoD-funded project, which brings together novel technologies from UK companies for future UAVs. From a standing start 18 months ago, 2d3 AIG has established a significant presence in an area of rapid growth in the UK defence market, with three contract wins and a greater number of short-term prospects in both the UK and the US. 'Vicon continues to perform well in all markets. It is celebrating its customers' involvement in the making of The Golden Compass, which won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects at the 2008 Academy Awards, in addition to a BAFTA award this year for Special Visual Effects at the Orange British Academy Film Awards.' -ends- OMG plc 01865 261800 Nick Bolton, Chief Executive Peter Wharton, Finance Director Financial Dynamics 020 7831 3113 Juliet Clarke / Matt Dixon Evolution Securities (NOMAD) 020 7071 4300 Jeremy Ellis About OMG OMG plc (Oxford Metrics Group.
