AGM Statement

OMG PLC 25 February 2004 OMG plc ('OMG' or 'the Company') AGM statement At the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held today, OMG Chairman Anthony Simonds-Gooding will make the following statement. 'Sales activity has been high with good prospect generation in all markets. Revenues for the first quarter were slightly down on the same period last year which had included a large single sale to Sony Pictures Imageworks. Notable sales of Vicon systems in the current year include a system to Japan for testing structural resistance to earthquakes, a system for the National Gymnastics Centre at Loughborough University for biomechanical analysis on elite gymnasts and a system to the animation group founded by world-famous Norwegian filmmaker and puppeteer, Ivo Caprino. For a variety of reasons, including a recent change of our Japanese distributor for Life Sciences and Engineering markets, sales are expected to be weighted towards the second half of the year. Our preliminary statement of results for the year ended 30 September 2003 anticipated a continuing policy of careful cost control, with increased internal investment in both new and core business. Accordingly, the Company has started to increase resources allocated to product development activities to meet the schedule of new product releases planned over the next two years. Active exploration of opportunities for growth through acquisition continues.'
