Pursuant to paragraph 4.10 of the Rules of the Exploration Securities Market of
the Irish Stock Exchange, Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde" or "the Company") hereby
advises that it has today received notification that Mr. Mike Donoghue (whose
appointment to the board of Ormonde was announced on 10 December, 2002) owns or
has a beneficial interest in 6,146,656 Ordinary Shares in Ormonde, representing
7.82% of the existing issued share capital of the Company.
