Operations Director, Richard Miller, Leaves

ORIENTAL RESTAURANT GROUP PLC 28 October 1999 Oriental Restaurant Group Plc announce that Richard Miller, Operations Director, will be leaving the Group on 31st October 1999 in order to pursue personal interests. Mr. Miller has been with the Company since 1995 with the responsibility of overseeing the day to day operations of the Group's well-established restaurants. In light of Mr. Miller leaving the Group he resigned from the Board yesterday. The Group's focus in the last twelve months has been on establishing an infrastructure to support the roll out of its Yellow River Cafe concept to multiple locations. This preparatory process has seen a central kitchen established in West London and the addition of new senior management and key personnel to lead that division. The Board believes that the Group is well positioned, both in its infrastructure and management, to successfully establish the Yellow River Cafe commencing with the opening of the first three sites within the next three months. The Yellow River Cafe benefits from the creative involvement of renowned celebrity chef Ken Hom. The search for a successor to Mr. Miller has already commenced and the background and skills of the appointee will continue to reflect the Group's increasing focus on its roll out restaurant concept.
