Appointment of Chief of Technology - Hydrogen

 

Oracle Power P LC (AIM:ORCP), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Naveed Akhtar as an adviser on h ydrogen technology, following Oracle's recently announced non-exclusive co-operation agreement (the " Agreement") with PowerChina International Group Ltd ( " PowerChina") , with the aim of jointly developing a green hydrogen production facility in Pakistan.

 

Dr Akhtar is an expert in the h ydrogen e nergy   / f uel c ells field with more than 20 years' experience .

 

Dr Akhtar   is the founder and CEO of Hy-Hybrid Energy Limited , a specialised fuel cell service provider which advises hydrogen application businesses across Europe. Dr Akhtar will join the Company on an advisory basis as Chief of Technology - Hydrogen , a non-Board position, as Oracle progresses its hydrogen strategy in Pakistan with PowerChina.

 

Dr Akhtar holds a B.Eng in Mechanical (Pak), M.Sc. in Renewable Energy (Germany) and PhD in Chemical Engineering (UK). He has received many prestigious awards and fellowships such as the Hermann Göhr Award ,  Marie Curie Fellowship, UNESCO Fellowship, Grove Fuel Cell Symposium Student Bursary, Universitas 21 Scholarship, DAAD Scholarship, amongst others. He has published 28 papers in scientific journals/proceedings and 11 patents in the field of fuel cells.
