Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') announces that on 6 March 2007 it received a
notice informing the Company that the Public Investment Corporation of the
Republic of South Africa had at 28 February 2007 a notifiable interest in
295,318,156 ordinary shares, representing 5.37% of the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company and 5.67% of the total voting rights in the Company's
ordinary share capital.
