   Share interests of persons discharging managerial responsibilities (PDMRs)


1. Purchase of Old Mutual plc shares by a PDMR

Mr C D Collins, non-executive Chairman of Old Mutual plc, purchased via his
self-invested personal pension, 19,459 Old Mutual plc shares on 30 June 2006 at
a price of £1.6367 per share. The total number of shares in the Company in which
Mr Collins (together with his connected persons, for the purposes of section 346
of the UK Companies Act 1985) is now beneficially interested is 50,000.

2. Exercise of a Deferred Delivery Award by a PDMR

Mr P B Hanratty, Managing Director of Old Mutual South Africa, exercised and
sold the following deferred delivery shares under the Old Mutual Share Option
and Deferred Delivery Plan on 30 June 2006:

The total number of shares in the Company held under option or as deferred
delivery awards by Mr Hanratty is now 989,720, none of which have vested. The
total number of shares in the Company in which Mr Hanratty (together with his
connected persons, for the purposes of section 346 of the UK Companies Act 1985)
is beneficially interested remains 1,000.
