        Share interests of persons discharging managerial responsibilities

Mr Martin Murray, Company Secretary of Old Mutual plc, today purchased via his
self-invested personal pension 1,500 Old Mutual plc shares at a price of £1.6543
per share and sold 34,010 Old Mutual plc shares out of his direct holding at a
price of £1.6508 per share.

The total number of shares in the Company in which Mr Murray (together with his
connected persons, for the purposes of section 346 of the UK Companies Act 1985)
is now beneficially interested is 100,000.
