         Offer by Mutual & Federal for remaining shares in Sentrasure

Old Mutual plc draws shareholders' attention to the announcement issued this
afternoon on the JSE Securities Exchange SA by Mutual & Federal Ltd, its 51%
subsidiary, concerning an offer to acquire the minority shares in Sentrasure
Limited not already owned by the group.
