Old  Mutual plc will be announcing their interim  results
and  dividend  for  the six months to  30  June  2000  on
Tuesday 5 September 2000.

There will be an investor and analyst presentation at The
Great  Eastern Hotel, Liverpool Street, London, EC2M  7QN
at  9.30am on 5 September 2000. The presentation, will be
linked  directly by satellite to The Crowne Plaza  Hotel,
Cnr.   Rivonia   Road   and  Grayston   Drive,   Sandown,
Johannesburg at 10.30am local time.

Copies of the results announcement will be posted to  the
company's  website  www.oldmutual.com  for  viewing   and
download   immediately  after  issue   to   the   London,
Johannesburg,   Malawi,  Namibia   and   Zimbabwe   stock
exchanges.
