GEt enters Partnership

Old Mutual PLC 5 February 2001 Old Mutual plc GEt enters partnership arrangement with Sherwood International Old Mutual plc (OML.L) announces that its specialist South African IT solution provider to the Financial Services industry Global Edge technologies (PTY) Ltd ('GEt'), has entered into a new partnership arrangement with Sherwood International PLC of the UK. The agreement will enable Sherwood to accelerate the geographic expansion of its unique IT solutions for the insurance industry and Global Edge to expand its range of products and services to more fully meet the broader financial services needs of the Old Mutual Group. In addition, the agreement will provide Global Edge with access to selected markets outside of the Old Mutual Group. In a new strategic agreement Sherwood International has agreed to acquire a 32% stake in GEt from Old Mutual plc for £1.3m. Old Mutual retains the remaining 68% of the company. GEt has established a strong capability in developing competitive systems, including solutions based on Sherwood's AMARTAarchitecture.
