Preliminary results news conference and analysts presentation



Old Mutual plc will today be hosting a news conference for South African media
at 8.00am UK time (10.00am SA time), followed by a presentation to analysts
announcing its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2001 at
10.00am UK time (12.00pm SA time).



The presentations will be given by Jim Sutcliffe, Group Chief Executive, Old
Mutual plc and Julian Roberts, Group Finance Director, Old Mutual plc, from
London, and linked by satellite to the South African audiences at the offices of
Nedcor in the Auditorium, 135 Rivonia Road, Sandown, Sandton.



The presentations are available live via a webcast for professional market
