Purchase of own securities

Octopus AIM VCT plc announces that on 31 October 2008 the Company purchased 36,449 Ordinary shares at a price of 63.0p per share.  The Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.11% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company is now 31,930,030 Ordinary shares. The Company now holds 1,572,505 Ordinary shares in Treasury.
