Purchase of own securities

Octopus AIM VCT plc announces that on 27 October 2008 the Company purchased 8,818 New Ordinary shares at a price of 61.5p per share.  The New Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.03% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company is now 31,930,030 New Ordinary shares. The Company now holds 1,531,821 New Ordinary shares in Treasury.
