Purchase of own securities

Octopus AIM VCT plc announces that on 26 September 2008 the Company purchased 35,307 Ordinary shares at a price of 74p per share.  The Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.12% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company is now 31,930,030 Ordinary shares. The Company now holds 1,487,133 Ordinary shares in Treasury.
