Purchase of Shares

Oakley Capital Investments Limited ('the Company' or 'OCIL') announces that on 17 October 2008 the Company purchased 164,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in OCIL at 60p per share. The Investment Manager believes that purchasing shares at a discount to NAV will enhance returns to shareholders.

Purchased shares will be held in treasury by the Company and will not carry voting or dividend distribution rights.

Following this transaction, the number of ordinary shares in issue less purchased shares held in treasury is 92,411,000 and therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 92,411,000.

The Company currently holds a total of 7,589,000 ordinary shares in OCIL in treasury.
