                             Annual General Meeting

                          Thursday, 26 September 2002


At the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held at 10.30 am this morning in
Tarporley, Cheshire, the Chairman, Mr Roy Willis, will give the following
trading update:

'We have completed the first quarter of trading in our new financial year and I
am pleased to report to shareholders that Group results are in line with our
phased internal Plan.'




Note: Interim Results for the half-year ending November 2002 will be published
to the Stock Exchange in early February 2003.
