The Board of Numis announces that, the following directors elected to take the
scrip alternative dividend on their respective shareholdings.

Incap Finance B.V. ('Incap') is a wholly owned subsidiary of IPGL Limited
('IPGL'). Michael Spencer (non-executive Chairman of Numis) is Chairman of IPGL.
Michael Spencer, together with his wife and Children's Trusts, own approximately
55.1 per cent. of IPGL's issued share capital.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 106,472,996 with each ordinary share carrying
the right to vote. There are no shares held in treasury.
