               Numis Corporation Plc ('Numis' or the 'Company')


The board of Numis announces that Michael Jeffrey Sinclair (MJS) resigned from
the Company on Monday 2 July 2001 to concentrate on his other business
interests.  The board has taken this opportunity to record their appreciation
for his contribution over many years.


MJS has also resigned form the principal operating subsidiary (Numis
Securities Limited) and various other subsidiary companies of Numis.
