Interest in Shares

The Board of Numis received today, notification from BlackRock, Inc that,
pursuant to the Companies Act 2006, it is deemed interested in 5,928,459 (5.57%)
ordinary shares of the issued share capital of Numis. BlackRock Investment
Management (UK) Limited, ultimately controls the total voting rights of the
holding.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 106,472,996 with each ordinary share carrying
the right to vote. There are no shares held in treasury.
