The board of Numis announces that it has, on the 3rd September 2001 granted
options over 44,650 ordinary shares under its Unapproved Executive Share
Option Scheme.  This represents 0.30% of the issued ordinary share capital.
These options are exercisable at a subscription price of 224.0p after 3
September 2004 but before 3 September 2011.

The ordinary shares referred to in this announcement are the ordinary shares
of 25p each in the Company.
