                       ANNOUNCEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

                     NUMIS CORPORATION PLC ('THE COMPANY')

                   Flotation of Beazley Group plc ('Beazley')

Following the Company's announcement on 14 November 2002 that it had acquired a
7.07% interest in the ordinary share capital of Beazley, the Company announces
that it has now disposed of its interest to INVESCO Asset Management Limited 
('INVESCO').  This disposal is as a result of INVESCO having now acquired the
requisite approvals from the Financial Services Authority and Lloyd's to acquire
those shares as originally intended at the time of the flotation.  The disposal
was in cash at 73p per share (being the price at which Beazley was floated on 12
November 2002.) The net proceeds from this disposal were £11.8 million.
