Share options

The Board of Numis announces that, it approved the issue and allotment of
550,000 (0.53%) Numis shares to the Numis Employee Share Trust at an average
price of 38.0p per share.

This follows the surrender of options over 550,000 Numis shares and the grant of
options over 550,000 Numis shares held by the Trust on the same terms, as
follow:

The new Numis shares will rank pari passu with all existing Numis shares.
Application will be made for admission of the new Numis shares to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange and dealings are
expected to commence on 15 September 2005.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p per share.
The number of shares in issue following the above is 105,161,583.
