                            Additional Listing

The Board of Numis announces that, on 28 February 2001, it approved the issue
and allotment of 30,000 (0.20%) ordinary shares in Numis to two former
associated registered representatives.  This follows an exercise of 30,000
share options at an exercise price of 105p per share.  These shares will rank
pari passu with all existing ordinary shares.

Application for the admission of these ordinary shares to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange has been made and
dealings are expected to commence on Wednesday 7 March 2001.

The shareholding referred to in Numis' ordinary share capital of 25p per
share.  The total number of shares in issue following these transactions is
15,112,000.
