NORTHERN VENTURE TRUST PLC

TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6,
Northern Venture Trust PLC (the 'Company') would like to notify the market that
the capital of the Company as at 28 September 2007 consists of 38,385,905
ordinary shares with a nominal value of 25p each and 20,629,048 C shares with a
nominal value of 75p each.  All the shares have voting rights.

The Company does not hold any ordinary shares or C shares in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 59,014,953 (the
'Figure').

The Figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations
by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in,
or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and
Transparency Rules.
