PLACING FULLY SUBSCRIBED

'The company announces that on 12 September 2000 it issued and allotted an
additional 472,797 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing approximately
1.15 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company, to 37
subscribers.  The new shares were issued at a price of 120p per share. 

Application will be made at the earliest practicable opportunity for these
shares, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be
admitted the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the
London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities.'

The placing issue has now closed fully-subscribed with 3,700,000 ordinary
shares issued to 244 subscribers with total subscription of £4,262,831.
