DIVIDEND DECLARATION

Northern Venture Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that the directors have declared an interim dividend of 3.0p per ordinary share in respect of the financial year ending 30 September 2014, to be paid on 2 June 2014 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 16 May 2014.

The Company's dividend investment scheme, under which shareholders may elect to have part or all of their dividends reinvested in new ordinary shares with the benefit of the tax reliefs currently available on venture capital trust subscriptions, will operate as usual in respect of the interim dividend.  Shareholders wishing to join the scheme, or to vary the terms of an existing election, should give written instructions to the Company's registrars no later than 16 May 2014.  Further details may be obtained from NVM Private Equity Limited via the contact number shown below.

In accordance with the directors' stated objective of maintaining the total dividend at not less than 6.0p per annum, it is expected that in the absence of unforeseen circumstances a final dividend of not less than 3.0p will be proposed in due course, to be paid following the annual general meeting in December 2014.
